Steve had a half day off at work, so we baked in the afternoon sun at the beach. You’re probably thinking…Milwaukee….Beach…you wouldn’t put the two together because heaven knows we wouldn’t go wading in Lake Michigan, at least not in this area! There’s a man-made beach really close that we frequent. It was a little overcast today so the usual teenage crowd was somewhat non-existant, which made for an even better beach day. There’s nothing like a couple of obnoxious teenagers or women in swimsuits three sizes too small to put a damper on the day. But not today, it was beautiful. We went with our good friends the Lundgrens (Grant works at Kohls and also had a half day) and we spent the majority of our afternoon playing in the sand. Great start for a nice relaxing weekend.

Don't you just love beach days! It is our families favorite thing. The pictures were awesome.
Kids at the beach are the best. Glad you had fun. Great pics. Keep 'em comin.
Hello Kara! I'm so glad you have a blog. I have enjoyed reading it and getting updated. You write really well. I love the tile work! It looks fantastic, including the entry way. I get a kick out of your energy and home projects. Someday I will be like you, someday. Hallie is a doll! Love her. Tell Steve we miss our hometeacher. I saw a pic of you on Cassidy's blog and was wondering how you were doing. Miss ya!

Hi Kara. Just stopping by. I saw your comment on Angie Penrose's blog and since you mentioned you are into photography, well I just had to come say hi.
These beach shots are wonderful. Love the color! And the b&w photos of the legs and feet are so cute.
I just recently started to really get into my photography. (baby steps to making it my career) I've been taking pictures for as long as I can remember, but only recently discovered my true passion for it. So much fun.
Feel free to visit my blog too if you like.
Hey kara-this is Angie, Staceys sister. Thanks so much for visiting blog! These beach pictures of yours are so cute! You've got some really great pictures. I love the one of the little feet. Feet always makes me smile. As far as my equipment goes, right now I have a Canon Rebel XTi, but I am looking to upgrade to the 30D or 5D. The lens I use is the 50mm 1.8. It is also a canon lens and is very affordable. I NEVER use my flash. I only work with available light and adjust my camera accordingly. I do play with photoshop too. I love it. You can do so many fun things with it. Anyway…sorry for the long comment. Hope that helps.
