In regards to sleep, there’s nothing worse than going to bed after midnight, setting the alarm for early morning church the following morning, only to realize it’s daylight savings. Don’t get me wrong, I love daylight savings in the spring. But really who is a fan of the day we actually have to “spring forward”. Slowly I sunk into bed, mad at myself for not getting to bed earlier.
But today my tune has changed. As I cooked dinner in a kitchen bathed in sunlight, I was delighted with daylight savings. I sat for a moment looking out over the grass and I couldn’t help but have a perma-smile. Of course it was snowing just two days ago, but it’s already melted off…yeah!!
Sorry for the sick kids. NO FUN! And, yes I love DST only "after" I have lost that hour of sleep.
