Although school is in session, we’re still experiencing summer heat which means we’re spending a lot of time in the pool still. Just the other night we jumped in the pool after dinner and both kids commented that it was a little cold. I had to laugh because temperature is all relative. It was so hot outside that the pool was refreshing even though the water was probably 85 degrees.

I compare that to our time in Idaho when a friend invited us over to swim. I hesitated because the forecast showed a high of 60 for the day and even with a heated pool it would be a little chilly. But the kids insisted they swim and jumped right in and loved how warm the water felt. I sat on the sidelines in a sweatshirt and still froze.

Just a few more weeks of swim season left for us – we better enjoy it before the water is “cold”.
