I am kicking myself for not making Cannon the Easter bunny in last week’s picture. Better late than never!
Life with Fingerprints: Weekly baby photo, chalkboard prints, weekly onesie
He’s weighing in at 17lb 8oz and he has a long body.

I’m still nursing him and it’s getting harder and harder as he gets more active and squirmy. I know if I can push past the next couple weeks I’ll be able to nurse a little bit longer, but there’s no doubt a large part of me wants to be done.

He still sleeps swaddled in a pack-n-play in the laundry room and I’m starting to get the itch to move him to his crib (which really means moving Bennett upstairs…that’s why I’m dragging my feet!) It will be nice to have my laundry room back and be able to use it whenever I please, not just when he’s awake.

He plays well on the living room floor – he can roll but he doesn’t do it for transportation and to be honest I’m happy about that. I’m realizing our house isn’t baby proofed very well at this point and we’re going to have to seriously train the kids to pick up things like legos and paper.

He’s starting to wake up twice a night which is not good news. The doctor wants us to slow down giving him a lot of solids as it seems he has some allergies (we’re waiting to test until he gets a bit older) and I think he’s just getting hungry. Clearly he needs more food – look at those thighs, he’s withering away to nothing!

He’s happy and content unless he’s tired. He’s still on the three shorter naps a day schedule and he needs his beauty rest. We stay home most every day so he’s rarely in his carseat – our 17 hour car ride to Idaho this summer might be painful for him (and us).

He’s very expressive and he has the best open mouth smile.
