End of school means end of school programs. Hallie has been working on her “Going Buggy” program for some time. She’s been teaching her brothers all the songs so they could sing along. When I went on the field trip to the butterfly museum there were 50 kids screaming their program songs there and back. By the time I showed up for the performance, I knew all the songs!
Hallie and her best friend had speaking parts dressed as spiders – the cutest bugs of the show if I do say so myself.
Hunter also had his end of the year program/graduation. He missed the mother’s day program a few weeks back because he was sick, so he was extra excited to sing all the songs. It’s hard to believe he’s moving on the kindergarten but he assures me he’s ready. “They’re going to have to teach me more than 2+2 because I already know those things.”
He got two special awards for reading and for his fun sheets and he was pretty happy to hear his name called twice.
Just like last year, his teacher went to great lengths to make a garden stone for every kid. I’m hoping with a few more kids attending preschool with her, I’ll have quite the sentimental path. Not to mention she creates a silhouette for every kid as well – that’s love!
