It always gets worse before it gets better. We had our stairway completely tented off for painting.
Our house was a complete disaster during that project. It felt good to rip down all the plastic only to realize there was residue/dust everywhere! Every surface had to be wiped, vacuumed, swept…but we did it and the house sparkled. Fast forward 5 days and our house was a disaster once again. It definitely got worse when they ripped out all the carpet and every piece of furniture in 5 bedrooms and a loft had to be moved.
Several rooms in the house started to look like this:
Because most of the rooms needed to look like this:
I hate chaos and our house looked like this for a few days while we pieced everything back together. But new carpet makes this mess totally worth it. Pictures to come.
Hi! I was looking at an old post of a room you painted with BM Gray Horse (maybe your master or guest?). In your photo it has a blue tint to it. On the BM website it looks more green. In your room, does it read green or blue? In the photo, it looks so gorgeous and just the color I have been looking for for our master bedroom. My email is lisaowens99 at msn dot com if you have a minute. Thanks!
Gray Horse has been one of the harder to read colors I've painted in my house. In the morning it totally has a blue tint to it (morning light is much cooler in color than afternoon light). But by afternoon it has a slight green tint. It's a beautiful color, much darker than I originally anticipated, but I've loved it. Unfortunately, it is a different color depending what time I photograph the room. I hope that helps a little! Thanks
Oh funny. That girl above is married to Sam's cousin! Lol! They live in Arizona. Do you know her?
Also,h HOoRay!!!!! So excited for you to get new carpet! I know you've been waiting a long time! Love the white staircase! It's all coming together so nicely!
