We made sure to coordinate my mom’s visit this fall with Hunter’s baptism weekend. We loved having her here for the special occasion and I loved her help getting things ready.

We started the long weekend with the ASU vs Utah football game – my mom’s first college football experience. It was the final game of the season and I think we’re all a little sad the season is over.

The next day we visited the lego animal exhibit – also known as the zoo!

After the zoo we went into baptism prep mode. We were hosting a dinner at our house after the baptism so we were setting up table and chairs with lights and decor. Saturday morning the preparations continued and we started in on the food. My mom happened to be in town to catch my sister-in-laws grandfather’s funeral – which meant she got to see my brother and his family. (They also stopped by our house for a bit to say hello on Sunday).

Saturday night was all about Hunter and I think it’s safe to say he liked the attention. Hunter Baptism

The rest of my mom’s visit was unstructured. We went shopping, we played, we hung out – all great things – there is never enough time for all we want to do. That’s what makes me look forward to her next visit even more.
