We were all dressed with plenty of time to spare yesterday before church started – naturally, that resulted in a family picture. Bennett rocked the bow-tie for the first time which Steve and I agreed he’s got the personality for a bow-tie. Briggs was in a clean white church which would only be clean until we put him on the ground and he started crawling around. Hallie had a new outfit that sparkled and she curled her hair herself.

Sunday Best

I arrived early at church to participate in the prelude chimes – I think I have a future musical career! We listened to beautiful music and felt the Christmas spirit strong in-between taking Briggs out for being distracting.

Steve, Briggs and I dressed up and played Mary, Joseph and Jesus for the primary sharing time for both the younger and older groups and in-between I zipped over to the young women to read for Mary’s cousin Elizabeth – still wearing my Mary costume. It was a spiritually rich day.

Sunday Best

When we got home, Steve had the brilliant idea to have the kids remove their clothes and carefully fold them in a pile – along with their shoes and socks. They’ll be ready for their Sunday best next week on Christmas Sunday without running around trying to find missing shoes!
