If you ask any of my kids what their favorite part of the weekend was, you would hear an unanimous response…COUSINS. They have days and days of uninterrupted time with their favorite playmates and they love every minute. They float around from one cabin to another and we just try and keep up with them.
We have two cousins leaving on missions soon. One cousin getting married and moving across country. One cousin who just graduated college and was able to come from the east coast. And sadly we have four cousins moving from Arizona. I think that one stings the most as they line up great with my four boys. They’re only going to be gone a couple years, but my kids are already mourning their move. Its a good thing we had the long weekend for one last party.
Hallie has a cousin who does amazing hair – she’s only 13 – and I can’t count how many times I saw her doing someone’s hair. Every day Hallie had a new amazing hairstyle and sometimes she even matched other cousins.
I would say we got our fill of cousin time, but my kids would disagree – there’s never enough cousin time.
