We said goodbye to Steve’s parents last week as we wished them luck on another service mission to Accra Ghana. They’ve been many times before so they know what they’re in for as far as living conditions and food. But they are excited to see the people they’ve grown to love as they help them set up and run businesses and work to become self-reliant.
Most people their age are enjoying a slower paced life of vacations and grandkids. Instead they enjoy a faster paced life of vacations, grandkids and lots of service. They joke that if they stop moving they’ll die – so they keep moving and serving and stepping out of their comfort zone. Ghana is lucky to have them!
