We made it back to Mexico for fall break – aka our happy place. We started planning it just weeks after we returned from our first experience with Mexico back in February. Our original plan involved multiple families with two houses and it ended with two families in one house. And just as we anticipated, it was amazing and I’m not even a beach person. (Although I’m slowly converting – I can now walk in sand without shoes and I don’t cringe. It’s what I like to call vacation goals!)
We had endless amounts of fun. The kids played and explored the ocean. We stayed up late playing games. We ate more food than necessary. We have friends who we consider family and they are the perfect vacation family buddies. Our kids line up and everyone has someone to play with. We are dreaming of the day when our littles are just a bit older and it will be considerably less chaotic. Until then, we’ll revel in the chaos.
I could sit and watch my kids play for hours and in fact I did. I had nothing to attend to so I sat with my camera and watched them explore and play and let me tell you it was time well spent. Here is what life on the beach looked like.

More pictures to come…
I’m sorry but the one picture looks like you husband is peeing in the ocean. I’m just laughing because I’ve got this inadvertently awkward poses – good to know it happens to everyone. But it looks like you had tons of fun, my kids just get to go to Boise, a 17 hour drive, you guys are way more fun parents.
Could you share where this is in Mexico and where it is that you stayed/rented a house? Thank you!
Our friend’s mother has a timeshare so we’ve been fortunate to stay there a couple times. It’s in a more residential area called Los Conchas – I know there’s a couple VRBO listings in the area because we’ve looked at renting them.
