I posted about my new love for Peter Hollens’ Christmas music yesterday – but then I felt like I was cheating on my old love of Christmas music which is Josh Groban. I know he’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I love his voice and just because I’m listening to Peter does not mean I’ve forgotten about Josh! 🙂
In fact, this summer, Steve and I attended the Tim McGraw, Faith Hill concert and while we were there they were advertising for Josh Groban’s new tour. Steve was not interested, but I found a group of girls that was interested and we went a few weeks back. And let me tell you. It. Was. Amazing.
I know all of his albums by heart and many of his songs have touched me personally for one reason or another. This is the second time I’ve heard him in concert. And I don’t like to compare the two, but….this time was even better because of these fun ladies I went with and his opening act was Idina Menzel from the original Wicked broadway play and more importantly Elsa in Frozen. Idina and Josh in one room – does it get better than that?? Okay, it does get better because our good seats got even better when he sang a few songs on a little pop-up stage right in front of us!
He could use a haircut, but his voice was on point!
