We have one very excited boy for kindergarten next year, but first he had the pressures of graduating from preschool!
Singing those songs, the dance moves – it was a tough gig and took a lot of practice and patience on part of the teacher. But he sang with all his heart and he was ready. Man I love his smirk!
He worked hard reading his books. Every day he came home from preschool with 15 new books. He’d read them to us on the couch, over breakfast and in his bed. He read and read…and then read some more. Towards the end of the year, he realized there were girls ahead of him that he would never be able to catch up with. We had to remind him, it didn’t matter how many they read because he read so many which was an accomplishment for him. He didn’t realize fourth place (out of 50 kids) would still get a trophy and as you can tell he was proud of that little frog trophy.
He has the same teacher that Hunter and Bennett had and I absolutely adore her. She loves my kids and teaches them so much. Not to mention she’s way more fun than any mom would be!
My parents happened to be in town and I’m pretty sure this is the first preschool program they’ve ever attended!
He is ready for Kindergarten. He’s ready for lunch at school. Riding the bus. And he’s been practicing the monkey bars and he’s confident in the next two months he’ll be ready in that as well. I adore him. And Briggs has no idea the changes that are about to rock his world when his playmate/buddy goes to school all day.
