Before the world started imploding with viruses and shutdowns – Steve made it up to Flagstaff to ski with the three older kids – a tradition for the last 5 years. This is something Steve did with his dad growing up and he’s carried the tradition to our family. Steve will tell you teaching kids to ski is a lot of legwork before there’s any reward.
This year was a reward year – all three kids could ski without assistance and could go down large runs. He soaked it up because he knows next year he adds Cannon to the mix and he’ll be back on the bunny hill!

Looks like it was a lovely trip. I’m just a little shocked that your kids weren’t wearing helmets!!!
You are totally right about the helmets! We’ve always had our kids wear helmets when they were younger and as they grew older they haven’t worn them. (Of course my husband grew up in an era where there were no helmets on the hill). But he returned from this trip convinced everyone should be wearing helmets – and I couldn’t have agreed more!
