We spent today trying to figure out our new schedule – the pit in my stomach tells me we may be at this for a while. I don’t know how the homeschool moms teach kids that span a large gap because it’s a little difficult. I would get Cannon situated on something and then move on to Hallie and before I could get settled with Hallie, Cannon was already back asking questions or already finished.
The online websites the school suggested kept crashing so luckily we had some workbooks. Our school district is supposed to come out with a curriculum plan by Wednesday – fingers crossed.
Today my kids were excited to learn at home – so I capitalized on it. Two weeks from now I’m sure it will be a completely different story.
I’m wishing I could go back to a week ago when we were on a quiet beach and completely happy in our isolation.

I’ve never met you or your kids but I bet they’ll do just fine readjusting to school.
I hate to give unsolicited advice but if my kids stayed engaged in their learning and maintained their reading and math skills, I’d call it a success! You’re so creative – I bet you could do some real world math lessons in building something or some fun science lessons with things you have around the house. The expectations of teachers on evaluating during this time period is up in the air just like the assignments.
My point….You totally got this!!
Thank you!!
