I feel like every day is Groundhog’s day at this point – all the days are starting to blend together. We wake up, we do chores, we do school work, we play, we go for a walk or bike ride and then back home for dinner. Over and over again.

We’re feeling the need to have some different things to do outside of our every day home-bound routine. This week we went hiking. It was late afternoon. Trail was empty. Briggs walked the whole 2.4 miles (with some rocky terrain) on his own without a complaint. Cannon was tired 5 minutes in. But Steve is the master of distraction and we heard little from him after that. And our skittles break half way through lifted many spirits.

A day in nature and exploring was just what we needed. Something outside the walls of our home or our typical route around the neighborhood.
