According to Steve, I need new hobbies like a need a new pair of leggings. I don’t why – but I seem to be interested in everything. 🙂 I love learning a new skill. I don’t need to be an expert in anything, I just want to be decent at a lot of things.
Building cabinets? Sure that sounds fun!
Calligraphy? Why not!
Photography. Cake Decorating. Hiking. Sports. They all sound fun. So I dabble; a little of this and a little of that. I’m never bored. Like ever. There’s always something I want to do.
A year ago we got the kids longboards for Christmas. Never in a million years did I envision myself riding it. In fact, I remember trying it on Christmas day and I about broke my arm. But it was oddly relaxing. So I kept riding. And each time I got a little better and didn’t look quite so awkward cruising around on my kid’s board.

I’ve grown to love it. It’s my favorite neighborhood mode of transportation – its like the roller blades I loved as a kid but without the ankle pain! I realized it had became a hobby when we were heading to the park and the kids were grabbing football and soccer balls and blankets…and I was grabbing…the long board.
I’m grateful for recent paved neighborhood roads which result in a smooth ride!
