We were at a family gathering when a family member (who has a serious love for shoes) told us of a time when he was going to dinner and was concerned that there may be some rain in the forecast that evening so he packed an extra pair of shoes (as to not ruin the nice ones he was wearing) and an umbrella – just in case. The night ended up dry as a bone but he was prepared.
The very next morning Hunter was getting ready for school and it started raining. He remembered the story from the night before and he too was strategic about what shoes he would wear and he made sure to grab an umbrella for the walk to the bus stop.

I’m not sure how useful the umbrella was in protecting his shoes, but it won him some points with the girls! 🙂
