I remember reading a quote a while back. “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” (― L. M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables)
Coming from Wisconsin – there was not a more beautiful season than fall – and I always looked forward to October. And then we moved to Arizona where there is really one season – summer – and it’s here to stay!

But every January, we have our “October” where the trees turn color and the leaves start to fall. It’s always a brief season, (and a little backwards) but it’s my little slice of fall in January and I love it. We even planted a tree in our yard during our front yard remodel years ago that turns the brightest shade of yellow that I can see from the dining room.
It reminds me of some of my favorite Wisconsin fall days and for a minute, I like to trick myself into believing that the weather is turning cool. But really it’s quite the opposite! The leaves fall and it means the sun is warming up the earth.
