After several weeks and sitting out of several matches and a city tournament due to injury – she’s back!
We learned last weekend that she won a bid to play singles in the state tournament (based on her personal season record). At that point she hadn’t played a match yet and we weren’t sure how she’d feel playing. Earlier this week she played her first match back and she crushed it. It’s still tender and she’ll still have physical therapy for a while but she was cleared to play and we are so grateful.

Last year, she went to state as an alternate and this year she’s competing – she has come such a long way. As luck would have it – she got a tough draw and plays a ranked player in the first round (single elimination) so she’s just going to show up and compete as best she can. It’s great experience as a sophomore and gives her something to look forward to next year. We’ll be cheering her on!
