Cannon came home from school and told me he wanted to run for class representative. I remember when the older kids ran for similar positions and enjoyed the experience so I was supportive of his decision. He really has no idea what the role entails, but he was excited nonetheless. The next day after school, he handed me a piece of paper with his hand written speech. A speech he was excited to share and wrote entirely by himself. He practiced on his siblings and a few friends on the bus and he was good to go.

We knew there were several kids running for the position but when Cannon came home the next afternoon beaming, I didn’t even have to ask, I knew by his smile he had earned the class representative role. And we made sure to celebrate him!

But Hallie takes the cake – We found this note in his school planner that Hallie had left for him. Siblings are probably the best cheerleaders of them all!
