One of the best parts of an Idaho summer is the temperature. Idaho gets warm, but not Arizona hot. Which means we spend a lot of time outside. This year the kids spent a lot of time playing tennis. There are some courts right next to an elementary school – so many nights, we would head down to the courts and the older kids played tennis while the younger kids played soccer or spent time at the playground. The summer nights are so much longer so we would enjoy a nice sunset before we loaded up the car around 9:45 pm and made our way home.
Hallie and Hunter also participated in tennis tournaments while we were there and Hunter is the proud owner of a shiny medal and I was so happy for him. My brother also came over and played with Hallie a few times. He’s a strong player but Hallie can hold her own with him and its fun to watch them battle it out.
It was fun to have my parents and my brother’s family cheering them on because they don’t usually get to see them play. Near or far, these kids have a great support system.
