It was finally his turn.

He’s heard about every ride. He knows about the churros. He was ready.

But it doesn’t matter how many times we’ve talked about Disneyland with him – or even all the memories his siblings have shared with him – taking it in for himself was a whole new world of fun and excitement.

Even as an adult I marvel at no detail spared on creating an experience at Disneyland – they are good at what they do.

And he was in awe with all of it. We started the tradition with Hallie of taking our kids to Disneyland by themselves when they were 7 or 8 and this week we closed the loop on that tradition.

We are not Disney people, but it has been a treat to watch each of our kids experience Disneyland for the first time.
