When we got a new principal at the beginning of the year and she brought some much needed changes to our neighborhood school. One of the things she implemented was “learning celebrations” – where parents/grandparents are invited into the school to see what the kids have been learning. Cannon’s 4th grade team of teachers have really utilized this event as project/unit showcase.

Last week we were in the school for Cannon to teach us about electricity – and everything was in Spanish. He gave such an amazing presentation and his accent was on point. He could be speaking gibberish and I wouldn’t know a difference, but Steve (who is fluent in Spanish) assured me Cannon knew what he was talking about!

I love how excited he still gets when we visit him at school. I keep waiting for him to lose interest in us but it hasn’t happened yet.
