My brother has a stock pond on his land and fishing has never been easier. I think we’re spoiling my kids into believing fishing is more fun than it really is. 🙂 When they want to catch a fish, they grab a fishing pole off the back porch, walk 50 feet and cast off the shore. Wait a few minutes, catch a fish, throw it back, cast again, catch another, throw it back…repeat as many times as desirable…then walk back to the house.

Its the most painless process to catch a fish!

I’ll be honest, fishing isn’t my thing and I can only count a handful of times I went out with my dad when I was younger and about the time he made me take the fish off the hook myself I was done fishing.

And I don’t want a pull a “back in my day” story but after walking uphill both ways in the snow, we sat on a boat casting for hours and at times never caught a fish.

A backyard pond is definitely the way to go. Even Steve caught a fish!
