We kept our Christmas wall up far longer than usual (removed them today!) because I didn’t feel like we really got much time to enjoy it during the season and I love these people far too much to not enjoy their faces on my fridge for a sufficient amount of time. (And Hallie is still gracing our fridge with her graduation announcement and I can’t bring myself to take it off yet.)
We had stacks of mail unopened by the time we got home from the hospital with Cannon so Christmas Eve we got everyone taped to the fridge. I love that some of our friends and family still send Christmas cards – our “happy wall” is always one of my favorite Christmas decorations.
Having said that, we didn’t get out all of our cards this year (I thank my neighbor friends who hand delivered the 65 cards in our immediate neighborhood) and I didn’t have the energy to tackle it after Christmas, which is a bummer because it’s one of my favorite cards yet.
