Last year, the Diamondbacks had such a good run in the playoffs, it was hard not to be a fan. It has made this season just a little more fun to follow despite not being big baseball fans.
I feel like I need to post photos from the game the kids attended earlier last month in honor of the Diamondback’s season coming to an end. It just so happened to be a game against the Milwaukee Brewers. Hallie showed her allegiance by sporting the only Brewer shirt in our whole home – and it’s a shirt she got when she was just three years old. It was an oversized shirt she used to sleep in and as she got older she kept it in her pajama drawer. It now fits as it was always intended and she hadn’t worn it in years. She chose the Brewer/Diamondback game to bring it out of retirement.
She chose wisely because the Brewers ended up beating the Dbacks pretty well – if only they could have attended the next night when the Dbacks took care of the Brewers!
And as much as we would have liked to have had our team in the post-season, we’ll happily cheer the Brewers on to victory. Truth be told, this will allow a little more time to focus on college football. 🙂
Sadly I can’t find a picture of Hallie wearing that same shirt as a kid but I did find a picture of her in the Brewers’ stadium all those years ago.
